Marion Geraci
Founder & Director
Hello, my name is Marion Geraci and I am one of the Founders and Directors of Tres Hermanas PR. My sisters and I started this book project in 2018 after Hurricane Maria destroyed most books on the island. Since then we have been connecting with individuals and public libraries to donate their gently used books and ship them to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico where they are placed in the hands of children.
I am currently a Senior at Chapel Hill High School, NC and excited to see this project go from an individual love of learning to directing a non-profit that touches many more lives. I also love surfing, swimming, and of course reading.
Helena Geraci
Founder & Director
I am Helena Geraci, Founder/Director, and I am currently a Sophomore at Chapel Hill High School. Having grown up in Puerto Rico I remember how challenging it was to get a new book in Aguadilla, PR since there are no libraries and having no electricity for 3 months after hurricane Maria molded all the books we owned!
Today I help with the daily running of Tres Hermanas PR. Filing of all documentation and web content. I can't believe how much this project has grown!
Rose Geraci
Founder & Director - The Tres Hermana!
I am Rose Geraci hermana tres! I am a 6th grader at McDougle Middle School. I have been packing books and shipping them for as long as I can remember. I love to check on our little libraries in PR every year and help make repairs.
I love stories and reading and sharing stories with others. This project is one of my favorite things I get to do with my family.
